I've been kind of lurking on here for a couple of months and I finally decided to post.

I have a Samsung DVD-M101 player and have had it for 3 1/2 years. I recently purchased a Magnavox DVD recorder. It records on DVD+R's.

Whenever I record a DVD+R on my Magnavox recorder and play it on the recorder or my computer, it's perfect. But when I play it on my Samsung DVD player, it's a DISASTER. It freezes and then jumps 30 seconds ahead, or it freezes, or it digitalizes the picture sometimes. It's just awful.

When I play store DVD's or DVD-R's on the player, they're fine. I'm thinking it's my player as it's old as far as DVD players go, but I don't know for sure as the review section of this site says the player should be able to play DVD+R. I've used Khypermedia and Fuji DVD+R's.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks

There are an incredible number of variables that come into play. Some Players don't like +R discs, some don't like certain brands, some don't like recordable discs at all. I can't possible explain everything... But here's a link that does explain things pretty well.

    Good Luck!

I looked at the DVD Players list on this website (by the way, why didn't you look there yourself?) and it appears that your model is VERY fussy about burnable media. If you use another brand of DVD+R, it might work better. There are a few reviews that tell of success with specific brands of DVD+R, but most people used DVD-R with no problems.

I did look up the player, as I stated in my post. Maybe you didn't read the whole thing. Thanks.
