VirtualDubMod help plz...

hey
have been using this program for ages and ages,,
mainly to rip ac3 audio from avi files for converting to dvds,
anyways, i do the usual,
1, load the avi,.
2, go to streams menu, stream list
3, highlight the stream, click demux and save it,
then a little window would come up about the audio rip information as it was ripping/saving it,

but now when i do it, i click the save button, and it just goes straight back to the stream window
without popping up that little window and doesnt save anything,
ive also tried too
get a later version, still the same, get the same version, same,, restart windows,. etc etc,, same same same,,
seems a bit weird coz you just unzip it to a dir, no installation,
i was doing about 12 files, and it happened on the last one,
i may have canceled it or started a new one half way thru one that was running, but i dont see how that would matter if i was using a fresh one in a different dir,,
i tried doing some of the files i know it works on, on all the ones i downloaded, still the same,
any ideas??? got me farrrrrrrrked

or any suggestions for another ac3 ripper??
