  1. Having read how to get Fast Forward/Reverse working on an SVCD by dropping the 'scandata.dat' file into the EXT directory, HOW do I get the 'GOTO' function on my DVD player working so I can jump to a certain time into the CD?

Every time I press the GOTO key on my remote and type the time to jump to, a hand icon appears which means 'sorry mate can't do that'??

Do I need another file dropped in the EXT folder to make this function work?

Using VCDEasy is the easiest way to create a right SVCD. I am wondering if the nero developers fully understand SVCD standard or not.

  3. Yeah, seems strange VCD's in nero work OK with Fast forward and GOTO but not in SVCD??

Will check out VCDEasy and do a few test burns!

    Thanks for the tip!

  4. Yipee!

Just created an SVCD test file in VCDEasy and burned it with CDRWIN, and the bloody thing works!!

Can now use GOTO for skipping XXmins/XXsecs into the CD and the Fast Forward/Rverse works as well

Thanks alot tendtend, looks like using VCDEasy for burning SVCD files in future!!

    Cheers!

  5. Or you can try TSCV (VCDImager's GUI). In this case you can get chapters and menu as well.
