  1. Hello,

I am unable to play Anchorman-The Legend of Ron Burgundy and Twisted on my DVD Player. This is what I did: I ripped the main movie files with DVD Decrypter . Then used DVD FAB to create the necessary VOB files. I then reauthored with DVD Shrink and then burned them with CopytoDVD. When I put the movie in to play it does not start in my Philips DVP 642player. All my other backed up movies run fine.

But when I play it on my PC, it works without any issues at all. I have used this method to back up more than 100 movies (have not installed any new softwares recently at all). Any ideas as to what is happening and is there a workaround for playing this on my DVD player as well??

    Any inputs are welcome..

    Thanks.

Because I ripped only the main movie files. Hence I used DVDFAB to create the necessary VOB files.

can you not just use DVDShrink to grab the main movie files from the original in the first place?

  5. Maybe your DVD player has good taste.

Seriously... DVDShrink and DVDDecrypter is all you need to rip, shrink and burn.

  6. I am fairly certain that this may have something to do with the new copy protection floating around. I always use DVD Decrypter for ripping the files and then DVD Shrink/Rebuilder. And the Philips DVD player is certainly a user friendly one-it plays everything. But just not a few new movies. Thats so strange.
