I bought 3 spindles of this TDK DVDR- 8x from Circuit City, one of which were inkjet printable, I have not had one problem at all so far with these disks already burned 45 of them. The one problem that I do have with them is that they are labeled DVDR- 8x, but my burner and four different applications say that they are only 4x, and no it is not my firmware, my firmware is up to date and any other brand of 8x burns at 8x or higher that I have tried. Other than that burn perfect and play perfect no freezing, or pixation at all, all the way to the end of the disc.

remember, the ones that say "made in in Japan" are TY discs. I bought a 50 pack from bestbuy a couple of weeks ago for $19.99

Your burner must just not support them at 8x. What burner do you have by the way?
