I have found a simple solution to the vexing problem
of converting vro into DVD
You don't have to demux (using tmpegenc) like others have suggested.
Panasonic DMR-E75 records in vro style
Transfer the file to the PC
Change the extension name from vro to mpg
Feed the fiile into the Old arcsoft showbiz (version 1)
The old showbiz accepts just any video file and convert it
to anything you want.
After you edit and add enhancements to the video, save it as
high quality mpeg2 file
Then use that mpeg2 file into any of your authoring and burning program.
it works fine without any AV sync problem

Authoring software always demux. No way to avoid it. It'll do it internally. Panasonic AC3 has been know to be corrupt, so watch the output carefully.
