  1. I've got a network set up in my room with a PC and laptop (both running WinXP). I want to be able to control the volume of the main PC when it's playing mp3's in Winamp from the laptop computer.

Is there any way to do this?

If you have XP Pro on the main PC you may be able to do it through Remote Desktop.
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.

  3. You can control Winamp through a web browser if you install the right plug-in.

    e.g.,: http://www.mp3pirate.com/snowcrash/

I'm pretty sure that there are several plug-ins that do the same thing.

You'll be able to control your instance of Winamp from any device that can connect through your LAN and has a web browser (e.g., Pocket PC with Wi-Fi).

  4. Thanks Vitualis.

I'll have to do some testing with that one and might look around for one with a more user friendly GUI.

  5. Yeah, have a look around. I tried one before and it worked pretty well (from a Pocket PC). It actually had several GUIs to choose from too.

IMHO, Winamp 2.x branch remains the best MP3 player ever.
