After reading through this thread, I'm thinking that maybe some of you found true love but somehow lost it.
Pac I think it would be interesting to add that to the thread title?
Did you find True Love or did you let it slip away?
Something along that line.
Or I could just thread jack this thread -

this thread got jacked, then jim and ripper were besides the track and got it back in the right direction, then BJ_M takes the thread jack to a new level.
back on topic yes you can find true love, but you have to work on it. you know something is going right when you can agree to disagree and it does not get between you with issues of morality and jealousy.
as for the question on having loved and lost, you are far richer person if you have loved and lost, the characteristics it provides with dealing with others is invaluable and if you are truly in love (not when guys are just telling you) then it can bring great advantages to yourself, including issues with self doubt and the ability to be intimate with someone else. and when i say intimate i dont just mean the sex act, its emotional as well as physical.
having said that i personally have never been in that situation. but thanks to my parents i think i have a good grounding for being able to achieve what i have described above. but only time will tell.

Well said. I would say who ever your choice in life will be is a very lucky woman.
