It's a subject I've been giving some more thought to lately (gee, I'm getting old, not Capmaster old but old still :P) so I thought I'd see what everyones stance is.

Is there such a thing as true love? Is there one person that your destined to be with? etc etc

I do know everybody will meet somebody they just know they will spend the rest of their life with.

Not to thread jack but...my take on "true love" is simply this...it's 100% bullshit. The idea that there is exactly one person for every person is bullshit. Come on...what are the odds of finding that "ONE" person? 6,000,000,000:1

My comments are not so much in regards to true love but marriage, and gold-diggers aside, I find the concept of one person wanting to spend the rest of their life with you as quite, quite amazing. I'm not going to go into specifics for fear of making everyone sick, but I would call true love that time when you sit down, take a look around you and you couldn't be more happier because everything just seems perfect. I think it does exist, but as northy says, if it were truly 1:1 worldwide there'd be quite a few more single people I would think.

Well here is my 2 cents on the matter of True Love. I started dating my wife at age 12, she was 13. We are the only people either one of us has ever been with. We got married when I was 20 she was 21. That was 15 years ago. SO in my case True Love does exist. I agree that it can be hard at times but a good relationship is something that must be worked on all the time. I have 2 great kids and I still love her as much as I did way back in 1982.
