    Hi everyone, new poster here.

I'm just getting into this malarkey and I have been sampling various VCD Burners. I have tried three thus far : 1) AVS VideoConverter (avsmedia.com), 2) YASA CD Burner (yasasoft.com/YASACDBurner) and 3) VCDEasy (vcdeasy.org). I have to say my own personal experience lends me towards no 1), the AVS VideoConverter. The picture is of better resoultion than the other two, the only problem that I have with it is that I'm encountering blocking when the camera zooms in and out for the video's I have so far burnt using this software. I get small cubes approximately 1cm squared when the camerawork moves in such a quick manner. This is where I hope someone may be able to offer me some advice. Is this a problem to do with the hardware or an option on the software I have not utilised?

Also, are there any other software programmes out there that I have not tried yet that are regarded as "better" than the three I have tried above.

    Many thanks.

    Graham.

Soixante, thank's for the post, but conversion's not a problem...it's the blocking I get from AVS VideoConverter that is the main crux of my enquiry, amounst other smaller quiries on my post.

    Many thanks.

  4. The squares are caused by the low bitrate of VCD not being able to represent all the video information(probably fast motion or action scenes).VCDs are prone to macro blocking(square on screen). As for the avs convertor you are using,i have never tried it,so i cant help.I am sure some one will know.

    Good Luck
