Well I have a liteon ltd163 that now only rips @ about 600k its so slow that it cant even play dvd's. now I just recently up dated the firmwear on my nec nd 1100a so its now a 1300 I think that may have been the problem when I did the update I had both drives pluged in not sure if I was sposed to disconnect the liteon or not. the reason for the update was that my nec 1100a was not burning some disc @ 4x but now that part works its just that neather drive rips any faster the 1x when befor they were ripping @ around 10x. I checked my dma settings they are set to dma ultra mode 2. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

Tried any of the suggestions in DVD Ripping Speed Tips (it's a sticky in the DVD to DVDR Forum) ?
If in doubt, Google it.
