Not to wise guys, I'm done with this thread. Post you horrible pictures away. I won't see 'em! -
Tha'ts great news writing:
Scientists describe the redback's existence as "amoral" because of their unique mating behavior in which males give themselves up to the deadly females to be killed and eaten after mating.
"It's all about foreplay. If he doesn't have the moves, she's not going to be interested," -

If it crawls and it's in Australia....most likely it is has poison in it as well.
While I was in Oz...I grabbed a spider with a Kleenex once and flushed it. I turned around to see several mouths agape(?) in horror. One person said "We don't just go around grabbing at spiders mate"....granted it was a woman who said it but...she seemed quite serious... -
I saw the HBO series, there's also an anal rape problem in Oz.
snappy phrase
I don't know what you're talking about. -

The trick is not to think about them.
Like yesterday I went for a swim at the beach and there's a warning sign about blue bottles. All these Japanese tourists are sitting on the beach but won't go for a swim yet there are plenty of people still in the water enjoying it. -
It's like a jellyfish with a jelly like head and strands of stingers that hang underneath it that floats around in the ocean.
If you get stung it usually isn't too bad, stings for awhile but you just use vinegar and ice over the sting marks. It can be a bit more serious if you have a reaction to the poison or are stung around the neck area. -
You can pee on jellyfish stings too.

Thats what a blue bottle looks like. When they wash up on the beach you can throw them at people if you know how to handle them correctly. -
Oh ok a jellyfish. Don't you have those cone shells there too?
-
Probably, we've got plenty of ocean life. If you can find a picture of what you're talking about I can tell you if I've seen it.
Blue bottles are the most common pest though because they get blown into the waters just off the beach compared to other things like sharks and bigger jellyfish which get caught in the shark nets. -
Not a great picture.
I saw a show on the Great Barrier Reef and part of it was about the Cone Shell.
I believe they are very poisonous -
No dangerous spiders here.
There are only some awful cockroaches, ants, flies and a visit by a friendly blue tongue lizard here.
A cat is here as well.
