    anyone running shoutcast on their computer? im trying but cant get it to connect.

    Are you behind a firewall or router? That could be a problem....i've done shoutcast but it's been a good while. It's kewl though!

    im behind a router but i have the setting that allows that computer to have port 8000 open.

    hmm not really sure. i know it has problems with routers will have to give it a whirl. If you have a modem you could try seeing if it works that way w/out the router hooked up. If it does, then the router is blocking it. If it STILL doesn't work then it's some other problem
