  1. Just kidding, dont flame me.

But actually I do need a little advice from the experts. I am presently using GKnot to do my encoding from DVD to AVI (Xvid) and want to get a more advanced but still be somewhat easy to use and eventuly get to be like the experts here . What program would you guys and gals suggest I move to next. Keeping in mind I am a noobie.

    TIA guys

    Hi Scoobert,

I don't know Gordian Knot, so don't know if this suggestion will be of any use. VirtualDubMod will take in VOBs and MPEGs and will output to AVI using a whole variety of codecs.

It's a basic editor, not really sure what features you want / class as "advanced".
There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

    Carpe diem.

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.

AutoGK is very very good. You will find plenty of "professional" quality releases on the internet done with AutoGK on full autopilot.

If full autopilot is just a little too trusting for you, there are heaps of hidden switches you can use to tweak it if you think you know better.

  4. Thank You

I guess I didnt relize that GKnot was that good. I figured with its ease of use that it was only designed for noobies like me and not the more advanced crowd.

    Thanks Again
