  1. Does anyone know if it's possible to retain the subtitle with the backup of a DVD to 2 DVD-R using dvdshrink?

    Thanks in advance.

  2. DVDShrink will compress everything that wasn't deselected.

Yes, all the subtitles should still be there, but I'm unclear as to how you're compressing to 2 DVD-R's?

  7. The results were negative no matter what I tried. Just couldn't get the subtitle to appear on screen even though the item was checked. Following the guide (Dvdshrink 3.2) using Re-Author to split into 2 DVDs without any compression, no luck with the subtitle. Anyone have any suggestions?

Load your burnt DVD back into DVDShrink or even into IFOEdit. Do they display the DVD as having subtitles on it ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

  9. The burnt DVD-R does not show any subtitles in either standalone or in Dvdshrink. Haven't try IFOedit yet.

  10. I can't seem to find any answer on this subtitle issue. Using DVDShrink 3.2 does not produce any subtitle on the movie splitted onto 2 DVD5, uncompressed. This is a Japanese drama in which the English subtitle is really necessary. Does anyone have any more ideas to spare? Thanks in advance.
