  1. Just wondering if I am missing out on quality by having this version. I use DVDRebuilder alot with CCE and would I get better results from the new versions of CCE or even faster speed??

  2. http://www.cinemacraft.com/eng/download.html#sp

You should be able to download the updater from here. Why not give it a shot? No harm in updating!

  3. I would have to buy a new copy if I wanted an upgrade. I just want to know if it would be worth the money.

It depends on the version. If you mean the basic at 59 dollars or whatever,it might be worth it. If you mean the SP that is 1995 dollars, well, you can buy doubles of most of your movies for that amount instead of using DVD-Rebuilder to "back them up"

  5. I can't stand trolls in a topic. I asked a simple question which didn't need a stupid answer. Duh, buy double movies, duh.

I think he did give you an answer,But at the same time was just making a joke.

    Cool down man.

  7. I just can't stand idiots who have nothing better to do than post garbage. If you don't have helpful info, then shut up and go play in AOL chat. Why post if you have nothing to offer.

  8. He gave you an answer. You need to lighten up, and remember that you aren't paying for the advice you recieve here. You shouldn't expect perfect answers from anyone.

Duh,I can't stand people that can't take a little levity and use common sense. It isn't a stupid answer. There are people on here all the time (like me and others) that buy movies for their kids and DO buy 2 copies instead of going thru all the aggravation and time of backing them up in case the kids scratch them.

Did you even read the first line ? I gave you a simple answer then added a little joke that really isn't a joke. For 2000 bucks you could buy doubles of 133 movies @ 15 dollars a movie if you are just backing them up and are concerned about damaging them.

Of course,if you are just renting the movies and copying them in the first place and don't even own 1 copy i can see why you would lash out. Then it would be a dumb answer because why would you buy 2 if you aren't buying 1? I was under the assumption you owned 1 copy. Personally,i don't care what you do.

I would suggest not skipping the meds again if this is how you react to an honest answer.

But i think the guys afterward offered you a nice solution if you have purchased a legit version of 2.5.
I guess we'll see if you take them up on it

I do agree with you ... when I get an email that my question has been answered ... great ... !!!

But to find out someone is just racking up his post numbers ... well it is kind of ... not cool.

It's been quite a few months now ... but I asked a simple question and I got a bunch of stupid answers ... question was related to defraging a hard drive and since it became a free for all ... I ended up closing the post/thread.

This pretty much says it all.
What the hell is a "new copy"? What's wrong with the "old copy"?
It's pretty clear what's going on here.
If you bought the software, you get the upgrade at no charge.

  15. That is what I was thinking....

lacywest - the user who Nelson9937955 had a go at did provide some information. Read it again and you'll see. Granted, it wasn't much but at least he/she tried.

As I say, if people have a problem with the quality of these answers then go and find a "video expert" and PAY them. Then you can expect perfect answers. Otherwise, take what you are given.

Back to the issue at hand. What is the advantage of upgrading from 2.5 to 2.7?

It would help if we knew WHICH version you had, Nelson9937955. Basic, SP or Pro?

Exactly, the first line of my post says "It depends on the version"

He came back twice and flamed me and still has never answered the question.

@lacywest- as far as "upping my post count",can you please give me any idea how your recollection of your defragging issue or anything else in your post was even REMOTELY related to his CCE question ? I at least made an effort to stay on the topic !! You typed over 60 words and none of them even referred to the original question. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black

    Sheesh

  17. OK, let's chill.

    Cool?

On with the original question. Let's wait for Nelson9937955 to tell us what version he has (Basic/SP/Pro) and we can take it from there.

2.5 was never a "basic" version

  19. I don't know enough about CCE to say. Just trying to contribute by keeping the peace.

It is SP version. Maybe I will change the question to avoid any more trolling by people with way too much time on their hands.

What are the diffrences with encoding between CCE 2.5 SP and CCE 2.67/2.70 SP. Speed and Quality. Mainly quality. For example. If I used dvdrebuilder for DVD9 to DVD5 conversion, would I see any big diffrence by using CCE 2.50 compared to 2.67? Thanks for any real help provided

Your not going to notice any difference. Some people claim that the 2.5 is better than the later versions especially when comparing the trial versions.

I noticed how in your post you conveniently avoided all the comments from the people (at least 3) who are "insinuating" you don't even have a legitimate copy of CCE and tried to deflect it by saying I had too much time on my hands. It's a public forum and i tried to help you by pointing out the common sense of not paying 2000 for an encoder if it is only to back up your movies when you can just go and spend 15 dollars if you scratch one (unless it's a rare collectors item which in that case you'd probably be better off spending the extra 25 dollars or whatever to purchase 2 at the same time if you really cared. After all, what's another 25 if you have 2000 to spend on and encoder).

BJ_M already offered you a FREE upgrade from his good friends at visiblelight if you'll just contact him. It's very hard to tell another person which will have better quality since it's so subjective. Why not take BJ_M up on his offer and try them out and compare for yourself ? Only you can really tell. I think it really comes down to the fact that you were "outed" and it ticked you off. I know if someone told me i could upgrade my 2000 software for free i'd be all over it if i was legit. I would PM them and not even bother with this thread. You ? Well, you come back and just totally blow it off and still go on about the different versions and re-phrase the question when you've been offered an opportunity to answer it yourself. What a farce. Call me a troll or whatever. You've been called a thief.

Thanks Troy. I also checked with some other websites and they say the same thing. That there would be no need to upgrade if you have 2.5. I will stick with my copy.

This thread can be officially closed out. But before I go, just wanted to my last say on the troller who was I guess trying to get me to care what you think or respond to a personal attack. I didn't have to. I have a life, I have a girlfriend. Try getting at least one of those yourself and the world will be alot better for you!! lol

    Good Day!!

Thanks TROY ?? When BJ_M has offered you a chance to get an upgrade on your $2000 encoder you purchased and you thank Troy ? I mean,Troy did you give you some good info but what about the guys who offered to get you a free upgrade on a $2000 encoder ? No thanks for them ? LOL

Get a real copy of CCE and you'll be all set LOL

Personal attacks ? i think you called me troll long before i said anything personal about you, thief. So maybe you need that girlfriend to take the edge off before you reply to the posts in your thread. You should have just asked her. "Honey ,should i spend another $2000 on a new encoder to back up my movies or should i just buy another copy if i scratch it ?"
GF/Hand-" What, didn't you already pay for 2.5 and aren't upgrades free Nellie ?"

    Yeah,right

I guess you did try to respond to me to take the heat off of the fact that you wouldn't take BJ_M up on his free upgrade offer. LOL, Uhm,yeah, that's the ticket. I saw "other" (LOL) websites that said not to upgrade LOL.

I give you credit. By having a go at me it was a pretty good try at a diversion. But the people that have been around here long enough saw through your little attempt.

Can you spell W-A-R-E-Z ? Even Stevie Wonder saw this one coming.

All that pent up frustration even caused 2 other people to tell you to "cool down",not me. LOL

My wife and two kids say hi!! and glad you have a life.

PS-You do know that naming your hand and calling it a "girlfriend" doesn't really make it a girlfriend, right ?

He thanked TROY because TROY posted what he wanted to read all along

He didn't want help...he just wanted someone to tell him he had already had the best version!

You are in breach of the forum rules and are being issued with a formal warning. You have been warned about this plenty before.
