I successfully (or at least I think so) completed my first Raid 1 array. My question is how can I test this? I ran a verification test last night, which the software said okay, but how do I really know? I guess in the end I just need to unplug my o/s drive and see if the other drive will boot. I guess I break the array and then do a repair on the array?

I'd imagine that if you were to go Start --> Control Panel --> System --> Hardware --> Device Manager --> RAID Devices that it could tell you there. If you have them set up as RAID, and are seeing only one drive in Windows (My Computer) as just the capacity of one of the drives then it should be working.
I have no experience with RAID, but that should be it. -
The only way to know for sure is to break the array, and rebuild it. When the time comes, you'll know the steps necessary to fix your system.
You might as well test it now on a fresh install. -
I broke the array last night and did the repair. I was glad to see that everything worked. The mirrored drive booted and everything was on it.
