Best DVD authoring program

Ive been using WinAVI converter for some time and i think it awesome but i wish there was a authoring program that provide the same speed and quality of encoding avi ( dvix xvid ) to DVD format while alowing a powerfull menu creator and multiple clip combiner. Ive used TMPEG authering software and wasnt impressed by the quality, ivwe also tried Nero Vision but the conversion proccess is just to slow. If anyone here know of any good software the incorporates all the pro of WINAVI conversion and has a decent amout of feature then please list them.

Hey, i aslo use winAVI to convert my movies, but to author them I use DVD-Lab Pro. It's a very cool program and offers intermidiate authoring capabilities.

It looks complicated @ 1st but a guide and a few hours fooling around with it will set u on the right path.
Another program is Pinnacle Studio Plus, I hear it's amazing as well but i haven't tried this one myself.

avoid pinnacle studo - save yourself..looks great, but is riddled w/ bugs - some lucky ones get it to work but many don't .. this should really be a class action law suit - some smart lawyer could do well w/ it...

dvd-lab (regular or pro) is good (but it does not encode - you will do that outside dvdlab) ..
