Region coding/Multiregion has nothing to do with PAL or NTSC playback. Only dvd-video is region coded, not avis.

What do you mean with slow???

ill explain more clearly, every ntsc avi ive been watching on my pioneer dv 575 has been jumpy in places and when i rewound to that bit on the dvd player it wasnt jumpy, perioudicly it would jump on certain bits then not jump on those bits.. me myself and irene was a good example as on the beginning of this film it was quite often jumpy as camera going towards the road hes going along on his bike. anyway switching the dvd player to NTSC mode these issues did not occur but the picture was in black and white :S.
in PAL periodicly it would be jumpy on the start of films. i checked them on the computer watching the same bit about 16 times and did not jump at all..
I don't know whether this would be weak parts being burned on the disc or what but i doubt it because i wrote the film on a dvd again with a new writer and it did it again on the player.

As i said i have never had issues like this on 25 FPS films..

    whass going on here man??

sorry i thought it might be important to let u know also on NTSC films when pressing play after ffwding it will jump for a few seconds..am i right in thinking the pioneer has trouble with the frames on NTSC films maybe?? (in PAL mode)
