splitting mpeg1 with premiere

i have been trying to split a 833mb mpeg1 file with premiere but the two files that i end up with are 1.41 gb each. the resolution of the products are the same as the original and i am using the lsx mpeg premiere plugin, does anyone have any hints?

Just use TMPGenc>check out the help info, how to do that...
