When i used to press Ctrl + Alt +del i got the task manager. I did the auto tweak in tweak xp 4 and know when i press it i get a security panel where i can pick things like lock down, log off, shut down, task manager..... How can i get it so the task manager always comes back up when i press Ctrl + Alt +del?

  2. I don't know much about tweak xp 4, but are you able to open it up and change settings? If so, check to see if there's a setting for it in there.

You could also try re-applying the way users log on and off in Windows. It's under Control Panel->User Accounts. If you click on the link to "change the way users log on and off", when it comes up you want to make sure that "use welcome screen" is unchecked. If it's already unchecked, try checking it and applying the changes and then unchecking it and applying the changes. You also want to make sure to set your Administrator password if you've never set it before (or if you have, make sure you know what it is!). If you forget to set it and Windows asks for a password when it boots up you can try setting username as "Administrator" and leaving the password field blank (assuming the Administrator password has never been set).

If all else fails, you can always get to the task manager by right-clicking on the task bar and selecting "Task Manager".

Don't know if any of these would work, but it looks like there are some suggestions on this page:

You can also right click on an empty part of the task bar and select the Task Mangler from the context menu there.

Another option is to run Task Manager on startup, then it's always right there in the System Tray. If you want details on the best way to set this up, let me know.
