I use ffmpeg to join 2 DivX parts. The problem is that the last 10 minutes if the movie is gone after he join, and ffmpeg quits with no error message.

    Whats going on?

  2. Which is the size of each part? You should note that the AVI format doesn't support big files of several GB.

    2 x 700Mb,, 1.4Gb total

Is there any other app to use then?

  4. When you say that the last 10 minutes are not present, is it by using Quicktime Player?

Hmm in mplayer it goes to the end. Strange shit??

I will try to burn it now and see how my DVD player handles it.

  8. AVI files were not designed to handle gigabytes of data. Perhaps Quicktime doesn't handle the index correctly.

If your enterprise was to join the two AVIs in order to make a DVD, it is generally better to encode the files separately and then author them together with Sizzle.

You may also try to join them as Quicktime movies and encode the MOV file.

My DVD player only handles DivX format And sizzle dont accept AVI files?

  10. I was supposing you were going to convert to DVD. If you want to directly burn them as AVI files, perhaps you can burn both files in sequence? Most players should begin to play the second file when the first file is finished.

I see now that here is a error when I burn. It was not a DivX file as it said. It was a XviD and my player don't handle Xvid

So I have to convert anyway,, grrrrr
