Hey I have a JVC HR-S7600U. It's fantastic. The TBC and other noise reduction features are great.
Here's my problem. I have some video that I need to make into DVD from old 8mm and Hi-8 video. When I run straight from the 8mm camera to my computer it looks like ass, badly in need of TBC. Basically unwatchable.
The only thing I can think to to is transfer to Super-VHS, then capture the Super-VHS to my computer. As far as I know you can't TBC an external source through the Line level inputs on the JVC. Does my plan sound sensible to the analog video capture mega-experts here?
I am not buying any gear for these four or five tapes.

That sounds sensible, yes.
