  1. Hi
I`ve happily been using svcd2dvd for maybe a couple of weeks now
    no problems .

I haven`t changed any settings atall , but now when I encode some mpgs & .avis to dvd they`re always well over allowable size for a comon dvd5

Ie My latest efforts of 5 files , 2 movies , one movie is 2 .avis
    totalling 1.36 gig`s , next movie is 3 mpg`s totalling 2.15 gig`s , for a total of 3.51 gigs .

The output was 7.01 gigs . & results were real bad , Ie blocky , on the
    3 mpg files .

I have done 5 files before totalling this much , or close , & always
received an output well within range of a standard dvd5 of just over 4 gigs

I`ve always used full dvd resolution before with no problems , may I need to set to svcd resolution for some reason with these files ?

have I missed something obvious ? Maybe the diff was a few files were .pal , & needed to be converted to ntsc ?

    Cheers

RC2 is the latest release. It has the "Auto Fit" option which sounds as though would help you here.

    Have a look at:

  5. Wow

    Nice feature...

    Got it ..using it now.....

PS why do similar sized .avis increase in size so much
where a similar sized svcd/vcd won`t ? So far in my
    eperience .

    Can I still mix n match .avi`s & svcds/vcds with this
version/feature as I did with previous version , where I could make
one dvd from a couple of .avi`s & svcds ?

    Cheers

because avi's need to be encoded to mpegs.
