  1. i backed up a copy of Hero onto Sony DVD+R's with my NEC ND-3500AG using DVD Shrink 3.2 to compress it then i tried both Nero 6 and then DVD decryptor but both come up with the same error messgae when put into either of my drives: "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel." I can play it if I open WinDVD first but the DVD will not play on my other DVD players but I think it is related to the error message. ANybody know what it means or how to fix it?

If this message is coming up after you insert the DVD, your autoplay isn't set up. You need to set your autoplay options so that when a DVD video is inserted, WinDVD plays. This can actually get a bit annoying if you are backing up several dvds and have to close WinDVD everytime you insert a DVD video.

You could try burning with Shrink to an ISO image and then burn with Decrypter. When you do this it will overcome the problems you now having.
