Mac are good for basic users, but if you can handle about four minutes or less a day of maintenance, the PC's are much much cheaper like half the price for similar performance.

And as asoftware tester we abuse the machines in the lab. Mac's don't stand up to the abuse and it is harder to switch between OS's. But the Dell's don't either, they are little bitches.

Mac users (I'm one of them) should just keep quite and enjoy. If more people start using Macs and the population goes up, you'll start seeing more viruses written for Mac. Ummm yeah PCs are FAR superior...I don't know why I bought a Mac.

I cannot build a mac because it is closed source.

There have been OS -X viruses, and there have been security holes.

Neither Mac nor PC are superior.

They both have strengths and weaknesses.

I was stating facts as well.

As late as September of Last Year, there were 15 flaws in OS X, but did I lose my temper stating that? No, I did not. I was just trying to get you to be objective.

If you have a mac, it just means you overpaid for the computer. That is all.

Cool thing about having a Mac is that when (not if) my family members have problems with there PCs I can claim ignorance "ummm, sorry can't help you...don't know how these things work...I have a mac" Also, its like having a manual in a car, not everyone can just hop in and drive it. mac has better software support out of the box with its iLife suite. They make it easy for you average consumer to plug in thier mp3 player. camera, video camera, midi, etc. and manage music photos, videos.

Although macs are 10% of the general population they are probably closer to 70% in the Graphc Design world.
