  1. Hi All,
    I need to clean up my codecs in a big way. Performance is choppy in playback, there are sych issues in encoding(canopus, mainconcept and tmpeg), vegas editor, there is a problem vegas 5 even importing sound that is embedded in an avi. If anyone knows of any other thing that might be causing these systemic problems let me know, however I am thinking its the codecs I have loaded. It has been suggested that codec sniper might help but alas when I run it it gives me this error before it starts up.

    zugriffsverletzung bei Adresse 004047DE in modul 'codec_sniper.exe'. Lesen von Adresse FFFFFFF7

    Anyone know of another way of cleaning codecs up or perhaps getting sniper to work?

  4. Audio is embeded avi
    0x0055(MP3) ID'd as MPEG-1 Layer 3
    and divx 5.0 in some cases.
    But really nothing seems to be working properly at all, there seems to be too many problems that it can't be just vegas, I think vegas seems to be reading codecs wrong. At least that is the straw I am grasping at. Here is what the program mentioned above said;

    366 records of directshow filters
    0 records are erroneous

    That seems like a lot of filters??
