I own a plextor 708a, and have been burning dvd's for months now, have just about 100 of them. Over time, i've noticed all play on my PS2, and my apex dvd player. If i give a movie to a friend of mine, it works fine on his Sony, and HIS apex, but NOT his PS2.
I've also noticed that dvd+r's do not read in a macintosh once copied to.
I'm burning the dvd's useing Nero as a ISO/UDF with the forced hardware compatibility button clicked under UDF, useing 8x Memorex DVD-r. Should i be burning it as something else to be able to get FULL compatibility? Or should i be useing dvd+r's instead, even though they dont' work in a mac(OSX). Useing my plextor 708a, apparently it won't burn media that is -r at 8x, only 4x.
Again, i've been burning movies for a while.. not many problems with my own dvd players, just others.

some older ps2 's have a problem with some media ..
burning as full udf should be readable in macs (udf 1.02)"Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650)
