Ok I have been doing alot of searching and am not sure if a PCI capture card is worth the money spent. I have a canopus ADVC-100 works perfect have had for three years and have only used it a handfull of times. My wife uses it almost everyday and I have found that it is about impossable for me to get it back. My fault I got her hooked on video editing. My computer is a P-4 2.8 ghz HT with a 160gb hd 528mb ddr 3200 ram with a nivida 5600 ddr 128mb graphics card. Not the latest and gratest but holds its own.
Am i wasting my time and money on a cheaper device or should i buy a advc-50 i was looking at a V-Stream Xpert dvd PCI video capture card $35.00 shipped to my door new in the box. Have used this site for years I remember when it was vcdhelp.com Thanks for any helpful input. I am sort of on a small budget at this time other wise i would step up and buy the advc-50 with out any thought. Oh can the macrovision be disabled on the advc-110 or the advc-50 or the advc-300 I have searched but can not find this info anywhere. I am able to do so with my advc-100 Thanks again

The ADVC-50 can have Macrovision defeated, but you have to remove the 6th jumper switch from the card itself.
I can't answer for the 110 or 300, but if the 100 has this as standard, then it should follow that the next ones up should do the same!Cole
