  1. Hello all,

I ran into my first .mov file (it's a movie) and can't figure how to burn it with nero 6 to a vcd or dvd. I tried isobuster and a few others to see it, but can't figure this one out. Do I need some sort of plug in? Any help appreciated. Thanks

.mov is about the most stubborn format I've come across, when it comes to convertability. Only way for the .movs I've tried was River Past Video Cleaner, to AVI, that can then easily be encoded to any kind of mpg.

Another alternative is to convert the audio track first using Quicktime Pro to a WAV-file and then convert just the video-track from the MOV-file but the audio-track from the WAV-file using TMPGEnc with the Quicktime-plugin. This is because the Quicktime-plugin for TMPGEnc does not handle most of the audio-tracks from MOV-files.

  5. n0jam,

You can alos use Nero Vision Express 3 to encode your mov file to VCD/SVCD/DVD compliant mpeg file. Which can be burnt to DVD later.

  6. You can also use WinAVI Video Converter. Though sometimes it has problem maintaining the correct aspect ratio.
