I have the cable coming in passing through a monster cable line conditioner and then splitting 3-ways with a monster splitter. One lead through the vcr to the tv, one lead to the cable modem, and one lead to an ati usb wonder 2 (and the laptop). When I launch the ati mmc tv on the laptop there is a degredation of the signal to the tv! only for a moment... BUT sometimes the signal is all out of wack on it's own... I'm totally confused...

What can I do to limit the interference? I have all the high end shielded cables and a fancy line conditioner... I'm loosing faith...

okay... it gets stranger... when I'm on channel 2 on the laptop It consistantly messes up other seemingly random channels on the tv... I feel like I'm in the twilight zone!

    "monster cable line conditioner"

    Not a fan of these.

Take stuff off the chain, do ONE at a time.

You might want to add an cable amplifier before the splitter. You can only split the cable signal so much and then the losses from a splitter will result in degradation and signal loss. Line conditioners may clear up noise, but result in even more loss.

The MONSTER conditioner is really lossy.

It's nothing more than a clean power UPS and a couple of coax signal cleaners.
