I'm working on a demo disc that has DD 5.1 and DTS 6.1. When I burn the disc, the DD 5.1 works fine, but the DTS doesnt play. Any idea why? I rip the DVD useing DVDShrink and then import into DVDLab demuxing the streams and the audio stream thats input into "audio 1" says DTS. When I burn it though, it loses the sound.![]()
Thanks

I had a similar issue that you discribe. What I did was create two seperate VTS, one for DD and one for DTS. DD won't play with DTS for some reason
Pain in the rear, but it works.
Also, demux with dvdlab pro caused DTS audio sync problems. I used this guide to demux with dvddecrypter and everything is in sync now.

Thanks, KeithT.
Can you tell me how you connected the VTS so it played right after the first one. I'm making one long play DVD with no menu or chapters."The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources."

Useing the DVDdecrpter to demux is more trouble than it's worth. Does anyone have any other DTS solutions? Do we know why it doesnt work? Do we know why it causes a delay?
What I'm doing is this:
1. I add a few trailers that i've made with TMPGE that have 2.0 sound into a VTS in DVDlab as movie1, movie2, etc.
2. I then a a sound trailer (THX, DTS) at the end as the last movie.
3. I then compile the dvd onto the hard drive.
4. I take the comp I just made and put it back into DVDLab and
re-compile it. This makes it one big file that will plays all the parts.
But when I add a DTS sound trailer, theres no sound. There must be a way around this. DVDLab seems to do everything but this.
Thanks

You cannot have DD and DTS on the same audio track in the same title. Once the audio track is set, any switch will be ignored and no sound will be produced. This is a player/spec problem, not a DVD Lab problem. You need to put the DTS trailer into a different VTS, then use an autoplay menu to bridge the VTS and play your trailer after the main movie.

Create a simple menu - all black - and add one link. Make it also black. Link this button to your second movie. Highlight the button, then under the link tab (on the right) tick auto-action. As soon as this button gets focus, it will activate the linked clip. As this is the only button, it will get focus straight away.
Your connections screen should look something like
Main menu -> first clip
first clip -> bridging menu
bridging menu -> second clipRead my blog here.

ARG!
Ok, I have made a menu system that has a VTS for Dolby Digital 5.1 and a VTS for DTS. For some reason, my DTS audio is still out of sync with the video. I cant use TMPG to demux, because it dumps the DTS to 2.0 audio and I cant use dvddecrypter because I dont want whole chapters, just pieces of scenes. What am I missing?

You can add an audio delay in DVD Lab Pro using Audio Delay from the tools menu. Unfortunately there is no nice visual way to sync things, so it becomes a tiresome process of adding a delay, compiling, testing, adding a new delay, recompiling, testing etc. until it is lined up.

The problem is that the audio is behind the video. Adding a delay would make it worse wouldnt it?

Boys, audio delay does not work in DVD-Lab Pro for DTS Streams!
Is there ANYBODY out there that actually has the correct answer for the audio sync problems that we are having in DLP when we demux the DTS audio stream?
I am starting to see that DLP also has a problem when demuxing the DD 5.1 Stream as well. How is one supposed to have multiple streams if everytime you demux the files you end up with audio sync issues? -
Demux beforehand in some other app.
Adjust delay, import into dvdlab.
I think I used the built in demuxer once...Cheers, Jim
