strange buzz in audio/subs out of sync

hey there,

ive been noticing with certain dvd ive been encoding from avi with ffmpex im getting a strange buzz/distortion on one of my speakers. however, this isnt present when i play the movie with vlc. also some of the subs are slipping out of sync when i do the same encoding.

this doesnt happen with every dvd but frequently enough to be a hassle.

any ideas?

I see that no one ever replied to this. Did you ever figure out the answer yourself? I'm having the same problem!
