My guess is that the higher the framesize, the lower the quality given the same bitrate (ex: 5500kbps), since there's more "realestate" to assign the bitrate to.
My question is... I'm capturing Hi8 analog using a Canopus ADV 100 device.
What is a recommended Framesize for the project?

Capture to DV type 1 or 2 (which depends on the software, most support both) I don't think there's a choice but it should be 720x480
