For 2 weeks now I've been having trouble encoding an Xvid file. It was 23.976fps, Aspect Ratio 2.21. After having no luck with other guides using TMPGEnc, I decided to try DJRumpy's guide with CCE. TMPGEnc just couldn't get the aspect ratio right no matter what setting. Apparently it has a problem with 2.21.
Anyway, I've now converted 5 different Xvid's to DVD with DJRumpy's guide and the quality is outstanding. I never new it could look so good.
*audio sync is perfect
*no jerky movement
*was able to make it 16:9 enhanced
*aspect ratio is perfect
*quality seems to be better with CCE than TPMGEnc
*encoding is faster with CCE.
The only issue I've got now is encoding to AC3 instead of MPA but I'll tackle that one next. So far, all my friend's players play MPEG Audio just fine. Which leads me to believe that it's more compatible than people think.
Anyway, thanks again DJRumpy for the guide! I failed several times without it!
