BACKUP Copy of Ray

I OWN a copy of RAY and am trying to make an emergency BACKUP.

I have tried DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter.

In DVD Shrink I have changed the bouncing boy to a still image and still get "Copy Protection Error"

Make sure destination is to a folder in My Documents or Desktop.Try Brute Force->I/O Key Exchange and enable Ignore Read Errors in Settings.

shrink worked for me. But I only get to see the theatre version cause I converted the extras to still pics.

Looking at the time in the log it's taking way too much time to rip.
The disc might be damaged(get an exchange) or your Pioneer is borked(try another drive).
BTW...is DMA enabled?Read my guide below in my sig.

I do have DMA enabled. As far as the disk being damaged, I wouldn't say it's impossible, however many users in other forums are reporting the same problems. I have heard that the version that I have (which is a 2 sided DVD) no one has been able to figure out how to copy. The 2 DVD version is copyable.

I think it's a copy protection problem, but I guess I will try to see if they exchange it. In the meantime, I am willing to try any more suggestions.[/quote]

I've been using AnyDVD and Nero Recode (both are in latest versions) and working all the time... Have you tried this combine yet?

I had no problem with this backup using DVDShrink and DVD Decrypter. Send it back and get a better disk. I also burned a DL disk in iso read and iso write that came out perfect.

rip with VOB BLANKER then use DVD SHRINK to compress then any of your favorite burning software such as NERO BURN.

I backed up Ray without any problems. I used the latest DVD DECRYPTER then DVD REBUILDER & burned with NERO BURN. No problems in playback.
