  1. Hi everyone,

Does TY makes a white non-hub printable DVD-R? I have some scanned older label art that stop at the hub ring, so I think I need some non-hub printable media...

(Incidently, do I need to crop out the hub part on the scanned image before printing?)

If TY no longer has a white non-hub printable, will I get good results with the TY silver non-hub printable? I want to stick with TY, because I am using a Plextor 712A, and it's pretty picky about the media.

    Thanks in advance!

I have tried two sites and could not find them.

    Maybe find another artwork?

Absolutely, I've ordered several spindles in the past few months. Just check over at Rima.com

  4. Rima.com currently has only the non-hub printable in silver. In fact, they're even out of the white hub-printable when I checked last night.

Oh wow, well I guess I'm lucky that I just got mine. I was on their site 3 days ago and they had them in stock. Good thing I've got 2 50 pack spindles now. Hopefully by the time I need more they'll get them back in stock.

    Good luck in your hunt!

  6. It looks like there is no longer such a thing as a TY 8X white inkjet printable DVD-R that is NOT hub-printable. I have emailed several online merchants, Googled for days, and nothing is coming up.

If anyone can recommend where I can find an alternative brand that is on par with TY, I'd really appreciate it (maybe Verbatim or MCC?). I anticipate needing a lot of white non-hub-printable type discs; and these TYs make my Plextor 712A VERY happy -- so I'm actually pretty disappointed that I have to find a different brand, as 712As are pretty picky about the media...

So far TDK and Prodic are not it.

    Thanks in advance,

    Verbatim-R?
    Media code MCC 02RG20

    Usually pretty good stuff.

Check the online reviews of your burner to see how they are performing.

Be careful, they are not "true" non-hubs. The inner diameter is 36mm.
