I have extracted a dat file from the *.bin file and then used vcdgear to convert that to mpeg, as per this link:
http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/mpg/vcd2divx.htm
Now, when I open up Virtualdub and load the *.mpeg file, I get this error message:
MPEG Anachronistic or discontinuous timestamp found in video stream 0 byte position 2340 (may indicate improper join)
MPEG Anachronistic or discontinuous timestamp found in video stream 0 byte position 4664 (may indicate improper join)
Then after selecting 'Full processing mode' and 'Compression' I don't see the 128Kbit/s audio bitrate from the 'MPEG Layer 3' selection.
I have downloaded and installed the DivX 3 codec, but still no 128kbit/s audio.
Thanks

Thanks, that did it for me; showing all available audio bitrates now including 128Kbits/s
