  1. If there are four movie icons, numbered 1 to 4, and I delete 2, then create a new movie icon which begins as number 5, is there any way I can reassign #5 so that it's not just called "2", but actually is regarded by DVD-Lab as the second movie.

Maybe this should be a separate question, but both questions arose at the same time:

Is there any way of changing the contents of a movie icon inside the "Connections" area?
I've tried to drag-drop new information over an icon already containing information and I can't just replace old data with new data that way, but I can't find a way to do it otherwise, within "Connections".
DEL removes the whole movie icon, and right-clicking the mouse doesn't bring up a menu that offers any options about that.

    Thanks for any advice.

  2. Not sure if I really understand what you are loking to do; you can rename movies either from the left hand Project layout area (left click) or from the Connections window (right click). As to what DVD lab regards as the 'real' second (or whatever) movie, then that's established by whatever connections/menu screen setup you use. The Movie 1, 2 etc names given by DVD Lab are really irrelevent.
    Hope this helps

  3. In one case I deleted the second movie icon, so "2" was gone, and creating a new movie icon created "5", and I couldn't rename "5" as "2": when the project was created, what I'd wanted as the second movie ran as number five. I couldn't figure any way of reassigning the actual values of the icons.
Which meant that the contents of 3 and 4 had to be emptied, I had to put the data meant for "2" into "3" now because I didn't have a "Movie 2" anymore, and I couldn't make a "Movie 2" either. So "Movie 3" now had to act as "Movie 2".
Which seemed really clumsy and unlikely, considering the power and complexity of DVD-Lab. But no matter what I try, I can't find any way to replace a deleted movie icon.
And I can't find any simple way of transferring contents from one to another either.
I finally just started over, built everything from scratch.
I just can't figure what I'm missing here...

  4. Just relink your links from menus. Doesn't matter what dvdlab calls movie 2 or movie 5 or whatever.
Just link properly, and it will work.
Open your menu, right click on the link you want to reassign, and reassign it to whatever movie/menu you want.
