I'M USING ULEAD DVD FACTORY TRIAL VERSION TO BURN MINI DVD'S DUE TO THE FACT THAT I DON'T HAVE A DVD-RW. WHEN I BURN A MOVIE AS A MINI DVD IT USUALLY ONLY LETS ME FIT ABOUT 20-25 OF THE FILM ON ONE CD. I USE VIRTUAL DUB TO CUT THE MOVIE UP IN SMALL PIECES AND I USE IT TO TRANSFER THE .AVI AUDIO TO A .WAV AUDIO. THEN I USE TMPGENC TO ENCODE THE MOVIE USING THE TEMPLATE TO DVD NTSC. IS THERE ANYWAY THAT I CAN FIT A FULL MOVIE AS A MINI DVD ONTO ONE CD-R? WITHOUT DVD-RW HARDWARE IS THERE A POSSILITY THAT YOU CAN MAKE A DVD INSTEAD OF A MINI DVD? I DON'T REALLY WANT TO LOWER MY BITRATE BECAUSE I HEAR THAT IT WOULD LOWER THE SOUND A PIC QUALITY (I WILL USE ONLY AS A LAST RESORT). ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE HELPFUL. THANX

Suggestions:
1) DONT USE ALL CAPS, THAT IS CONSIDERED SCREAMING.
2) I surely hope you did check the compability list to make sure you have one of the 2% of DVD players on the market that can acutally play miniDVDs. If you do not have one of these players, you will ONLY be able to play a miniDVD on your PC.
3) If you have done step 2, and do own such player, then you will have to lower the bitrate for 2 reasons:
A. Because a movie at typical DVD bitrate will take about 7-10 CDs. Of course, you might like, having to switch the disks that many time to watch one movie.
B. Because your standalone player DVD drive will not spin fast enough to play DVD video at typical DVD bitrate correctly. Most standalone players only have a 1X DVD drive, which because of the physical media differences betwen DVD & CD, will only support a bitrate of about 2.8-3 mbps on CD media.
