  1. Hi! I have strange problem. After I capture a video on my ATI TV WONDER PRO (with no problem) I used TMPG to and Maven3D to make DVD complain 2 files. After authoring it with DVD lab I have OK DVD files that I played on my comp first, before I burned it. I’m using NERO. But to my surprise I got very jerky picture on my TV. I burned 2 disks – same result. I took that DVD MPG2 file and made a VCD, burned it and played on the same DVD player, picture was VERY, VERY SMOOTH. Maybe you guys know what is wrong here.
    Thanks. For_4

Your DVD Player might not like your brand of DVD. Try a different brand of DVD media. Check your player at https://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers

Quality can vary from batch to batch, and some brands change suppliers without changing packaging. Use DVDInfo Pro to check the manufacturers codes on your current disks, and some older ones - just to be sure.

Agreed, sounds very much like a field order problem. Whatever field order you set in Tmpgenc last time, reverse it and re-encode, si if this fixes the problem.

(BTW, analog captures are MOSTLY top field first, but not always.)
