Hi
I want to capture my old LP records. What sound card has a good A/D convertor for this purpose. (under $100)
Thanks

The M-Audio Revolution 5.1. Just a terrific audio card, and designed for audiophile applications, rather than gaming stuff that Creative Labs excels at.
MSRP $99

Turtle Beach also has a few high quality cards at great prices. As long as you don't anticipate using your PC for musical composition (ala Nuendo, Cubase, etc) it's a deal at $50. http://www.tbeach.com/site/products/soundcards/santacruz/ and http://www.tbeach.com/site/products/soundcards/catalina/ . You could spend $50 on the card and $40 on software like Groove Mechanic http://www.coyotes.bc.ca/GrooveMechanic.html which will remove clicks and pops from your vinyl recordings.
