  1. I was wondering if there is an app (similar to the "My Briefcase" found in the win 9x series) that would allow me to keep the music that I have on my flash drive and a folder on my computer in sync. This way if I delete some of my music from my flash I can update it right away with the folder on my computer, or if I add some more music to my flash I can update my folder on my computer. Is there such an app (preferably freeware) that will do this?

  2. Use briefcase?

    XP does still have it.

    Excerpt from Microsoft Help Files.

    To create a new Briefcase
To open My Computer, click Start, and then click My Computer.
Click the folder in which you want to create the new Briefcase.
On the File menu, point to New, and then click Briefcase.
    Note

To create a new Briefcase on your desktop, right-click anywhere on the desktop, click New, and then click Briefcase.

Thanks, so if I want to be able to update my songs on my flash I should have the briefcase on there, correct?

  4. Hell if I know, I've never messed with briefcase. I didn't know about it being in XP either to be honest with you until you mentioned it. Easiest thing to do is try it and see. I would assume so since the help file recommend it as the best option for removable media sycronization.

I think I got it figured out, you have to put the briefcase on the removable media. Then you can add new files or something to the copy on the hd and then update the removable media. Also if you delete files in the removable media you can restore from the hd.

I'd never played with that feature but I do have a use for that. Good stuff!

Yeah, and it would be nice to keep it up-to-date!
