Well I run Mandrake and their is a DVD addition to k3b that lets me burn a DVD structured directory or DVD iso. So I would guess that their is one for fedora.

  3. I would say he has k3b-dvd based on what he said just burnign in RAW mode is the issue.
Never dabbled in the modes when burning before so haven't got alot of information there.

xcdroast might be a program you might find helpful

Raw is not available for DVD burning.

K3B uses 3-4 tools for burning. CDRDAO, CDRECORD (without PRODVD enabled) GROWISOFS, and DVD+RW tools (to erase and format +/- RW discs)

Just wondering why you want to do anything besides DAO?

XCDRoast does use cdrecord with PRODVD, however

DVDs may be written in SAO mode or in packet
mode. Cdrecord currently only supports SAO mode.
Cdrecord-ProDVD-1.11a35 and later allow to specify
-dao for correctness. Later versions of cdrecord
will only write DVDs if dao is specified.

I would guess DVD burning supports only Disc At Once recording.
