Is it possible to record DVDs directly from PC via FW using progs like PremierePro???

When i connect DVDR to pc via FW my WinXP recognise AV/C subunit but fails to install it... i dont have any additional drivers and i did not found any on the net. Panasonic site claims that DV input is Digital Camera only.

Is there some generic AV/C drivers for XP or some plug in for PremierePro which would fake PC into DigiCam???
