Recorded VCR shows with Hauppage PVR350, PINA to cut&amp

Hi,

I've been searching everywhere to answer my problem without success. I hope you can help me.

I start recording some vcr tapes with my Hauppauge PVR350 at Max MPEG2 settings (about 5gig per hour)

I recorded a bunch of tapes that weight about 25gig each. I try to edit the files so I can cut out commercials and make 1 Tv Show per file.

The big frekkin problem is neither with all the softwares I tried to edit the MPEG2 without reencodings have been innefective so far:

NanoPEG, VideoRedo, Womble MPEG2VCR


The symptoms of the new created MPEG file are all the same with these every softwares:
Whatever where put the cuts, the final output MPEG are innacurate and the cuts are incredibly out of sync of the initial position I gave in the timeline.

Beign new for these kind of editing, I'm asking assistance to find out why my cuts are not made in the position I want to.

I use the really good mpeg2schnitt to edit out commercials from my MPEG2/DVB recordings.
Works really great in combination with projectx.

Unfortunately, your situation reflects the difficulty in editing MPEG2.
It is frustrating to spend time editing out commercials only to find that the audio/video is out of sync.

I have a different approach. I burn the entire capture to DVD, but I "edit" out commercials during the authoring process by placing a chapter point at the end of each commercial break. That way, when I reach a commercial while I am watching a DVD, I just skip to the next chapter point. Works for me; easily done with no audio/video skew.

Sometimes I actually enjoy watching the commercials, news teasers, etc. that I discover on old tapes; great blast from the past experience every now and then.

I re-gave a try to Womble MPG2VHS and it works better.

My biggest deceptions are the controls but I guess I have to deal with it.

I did not have time to investigates those suggestions above, I'll surely do this weekend.

But now with Womble I just removed the TV shows and compile a movie with only ads

Cutteraman seems to not support Mpg format.
