I have WinDVD 3.2 and PowerDVD 5. I never had a problem playing original DVDs until last night, now for some reason only WinDVD plays my original DVDs.

    PowerDVD says:

    Error code:8004027D

I am not sure if I need to check if anything was changed in the Windows registry or other.

I appreciate your comments and suggestions.

    Thank you,
    Wilson

    Bodyslide,

As you recommended I uninstalled PowerDVD then reinstalled. Now PowerDVD is working without any problems.

    Another Question:

I have the LG 4120B drive with firmware A102, I would like to flash with firmware A115 for the drive to become RPC-1 (region free). The reason is that I have original region 4 DVDs that I can't watch at the moment without changing from current region 1 to 4 and eventually the drive will lock.

I was told that I should first flash the drive with a RPC-1 firmware and second I have to download DVD Genie or DVD Region Killer, looks like that both of these programs are old, not sure which one is best and if they work with newer versions of PowerDVD 5 and 6.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Just a future notE: with small progs. like that UNinstalling and reinstalling should be the first thing you should do to fix it, if it starts behaving this way. And dvd genie should be fine, just TRY it. What have you got to lose by trying them both?? If they dont work , THEN post back.
COPIED OVER 600 DVDS SO FAR
