  1. Does anybody read a Panasonic DVD-RAM disk on Windows 98(Me)? If so, what setup do you have and what software do you use to be able to read the DVD-RAM disk? I'm unable to open and read the files on the disk, and I would like to find a solution without having to use Windows XP, which I know works fine.

  2. Your dvd drive must be able to read DVD-RAM & then it can only do that after you put on a DVD-RAM driver.

Wasnt there another topic just like this recently?

W98 would encounter a file size limit too, of 4 gigs, until you get NTSF, like XP.

  3. Yes, I have a Panasonic DVD-RAM drive and a RAM driver. I can see the disk and the directory on the disk in file manager, but when I try to read or copy the file, I get a file access error, cannot read file. The files are smaller than 4 gig, so that's not a problem for the FAT32 file system.

  4. Hmm, you probably cannot read the DVD-RAM with Windows98SE , because the disc was written by the recorder using UDF 2.0. Windows doesn not support UDF 2.0.

If you have Nero, try installing the latest version of InCD4.
