Okay cokey people heres the situation.
Please bare in mind that I am the worst person at capturing on this earth but I volunteered my services to a friend. Once it is on the pc I am a diva but before that I am poop.
I have a Dazzle DVC-80 hooked up via svideo to a Samsung Hi-8 Camcorder.
I am using Vegas to capture. I have two questions.
1. When I start capturing the date the video was shot and the battery metre show up in the capture window, is there a way to turn these off?
2. I have the vid via svideo now the audio which I am using a normal phono jack going to split L and R's into the Dazzle is coming from the only other place where I can plug something in, it is labelled av out, is this the audio port? or the composite vid and if it is composite vid how on earth do I get the sound.
Any help as always would be much appreciated, please explain it easily as this camcorder is about to be launched out the window and I dont think I can take much more.

Ignore number 1 I have just worked that out, just the audio thing now.

Usually the audio from the camera is plugged into the line in port on the sound card.

That input jack contains all three RCA lines, my cam has the same thing. It's just a mini jack input on the cam and has the Yellow, Red and White on the other end. The cam should have come with the cable, I'm sure you can pick one up any electronics store. They might even hvae just a Y or triple adapter in this case.
