  1. I have a 3 hour mpg1 file. Looking for the Easiest way to cut it up into smaller files of varying length of my choice. Any suggestions?

    womble mpegVCR or virtualdubmod. VDM will require you reencode to a different format. Womble is your best bet for simple edits. If you have tmpgenc you may be able to use mpeg tools to do it.

  3. Cuttermaran (free).
    Easier to use than Womble.
    No re-encoding/frameserving needed with virtualdubmod/mpg.
